THE PRE-PRODUCTION

We are already in pre-production and everything is moving forward perfectly. A number of our actual production team members, and several of our actors
are already aboard.

Because "Pre-Production" is where most of our cost-saving techniques are put into place, the proper planning done during this critical phrase is necessary in order to create a successful film.

Our incredible team of professionals (guided by Anthony and Darren Levine, our top cinematographer and technical/digital expert) are working hand-in-hand to create a solid foundation for the film's over-all success.



THE LOOK

Along with the acting and directing, the "Look" of a film is extremely important. Often the way a scene is set up, designed, lit, directed, and shot, all can add tremendous interest for the audience.

This holds true whether the scene is an exterior (outside) landscape, or an interior (inside) restaurant.
If done correctly, the "Look" of a film often greatly increases it's production value as well as creating even more enjoyment for the viewer.

Anthony and Darren spared no expense to ensure that the "Look" of the film is absolutely "mesmerizing and stunning" from the first shot of the film until the very last.



THE FEEL

The "Feel" of a movie actually refers to two separate feelings... The first is how the movie itself "feels".

Has it been done in a professional manner? Is it clear that money, time, energy and thought were put into the planning & production of the movie? Does the acting, the story, and each character in it seem realistic?

All these elements if done correctly, will add to the second feeling... How does the audience feel before, during and after experiencing the movie?

If everything goes well, then hopefully every individual in the audience will have a powerful and moving experience because of the movie.

So, if the film is a slap-stick comedy, did it make people laugh, have fun and feel better than they did before they watched the movie?

Or, if it's a drama, did the film move each person in some way so that he or she feels more deeply about the subject matter they just viewed, or perhaps even about life itself afterwards?

Once again, Anthony, Darren and everyone involved have done, are doing, and will continue to do everything possible to make sure that the movie "feels" right, and that everyone in the audience "feels" that his or her time was well spent in experiencing the movie.

THE SOUND

Normally, we would discuss the "Sound" of a movie, after the editing process has begun. However, since we just covered the subject of the "Feel" of a movie, we thought we'd share about the sound now, and here's the reason why.

The way a film is Sound Edited, and even more importantly, the way a film is Sound Designed has an absolutely tremendous influence over how both the movie and it's audience actually feel.

In fact, the sound of a film is so important, that most top filmmakers worldwide all agree that sound makes up about 65% of the entire experience of watching a movie.

And, while other elements like the acting, writing, directing, and the "Look" of a film are all certainly very important, the element of "Sound" is where the emotional impact is created! It is through sound that the audience actually connects to the movie.

Fortunately for our film, A Little Crime Of Passion" Darren and Anthony are both outstanding editors and sound editors. In fact, Anthony is considered by many within the industry to be a Master Sound Designer. And, he's also worked with, and even consulted for two separate Academy Award Winners!

Therefore, the "sound" in our film will have the highest quality possible, and it will be of the most exciting and artistic nature.

THE EDITING

During the course of filming a motion picture, many variables occur that create a number of different "takes" (times a scene must be shot).

It can be due to a technical, or lighting issue, it can be due to an actor needing another try to accomplish what he or she is going for, or it can be because a director simply isn't happy with how the scene is shaping up.

Because of all these variables, once the filming is completed, the way the movie is edited will have great influence in how the final film appears and sounds.

In turn, that will have a tremendous effect on what audiences experience when they watch the movie.

Many editors have gone on to become world class directors. Through the years, Darren has constantly edited work that he shot for other clients, and Anthony spent several years as an award-winning editor and editing consultant on other feature film projects.

They will creatively edit "A Little Crime Of Passion" and maximize all it's potential to create the most entertaining movie possible for each audience member.

THE STORY

Because "A Little Crime Of Passion" is inspired by real life events, it actually has a story within a story. What we mean is this:

We strive to make the most exciting & entertaining, thought-provoking & powerful movies possible. And, we work hard to also make our films about subject matters that have touched and moved us in some way, and hopefully that will touch and move an audience as well.

Therefore, when we learned about the excesses of the some of the Major Players in our current banking system and on Wall Street, and when we saw a news item about the horrors of modern slavery and child trafficking, we decided to create a movie that would intrigue, and enthrall an audience, and also be of great interest to many people around the world.

So, here's some bullet points of the story we've created for you...

A daring daylight robbery of a prestigious Wall Street Investment Firm...

Famous Judges showing up "dead" at the New York City's hottest tourist attractions...

the Statue Of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Yankee Stadium, Times Square and more!

"Secrets" so powerful, and "Surprises" so stunning that the lead police detective on the case allows the main suspect to continue and go free!

These are just a few of the compelling aspects that are making our film so powerful and why the screenplay has already earned such high praise... (You can read a more detailed description of the movie storyline in the main body of this website under the heading, "The Story"

THE MARKETING & DISTRIBUTION

As filmmakers, we always want to reach as many people and as wide an audience as possible. However, being an independent "indie" film company, without major studio funding presents special circumstances and challenges that we must deal with.

Because of that we need to market the film in a variety of innovative ways, using both conventional offline methods and more creative online methods as well. Fore example:

One of our publicists has already "guaranteed" us a
minimum of 12 interviews reaching an audience of
50 -100 MILLION listeners in the Top 50 radio markets.

In addition to that we have several other publicists working on our behalf for TV appearances and articles in prominent newspapers and magazines, both nationwide and around the world.

We are also utilizing the services of top Social Networkers who will assist us in creating an enormous "Buzz" about the film...

Lastly, we have already begun speaking with distributors and distribution agents, and they have expressed a keen interest in pursuing our film for distribution worldwide.
